SCV Teacher Tribute Set April 30
The spotlight will be on classroom leaders April 30 when they take the stage at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center for the 25th annual Teacher Tribute, organized by the SCV Education Foundation.
Fifty-four public school teachers will be honored, which represents one per school, of nearly 2500 teachers in the Santa Clarita Valley. The Tribute will be held for the third consecutive year at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons.
Originally started in 1985 to recognize the selected teachers for the State Mentor Teacher program, the Tribute has continued on since that program was eliminated. Teachers are now selected by each district in accordance with guidelines established by the school districts and the Foundation.
