Several road closures are being enforced in the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas due to mud slides and traffic conditions resulting from the winter storm that hit the area early Friday morning.
Between Thursday and Tuesday, over Presidents' Day weekend, there will be several full and partial closures on both sides of the I-405 Sepulveda Pass, as part of Metro's improvement project. Motorists should plan ahead for delays and detours.
Lane closures on the 1-5 Freeway are expected between Pico Canyon Road and the 14 Freeway from Dec. 16 through Dec. 21 due to truck lane construction, according to the California Department of Transportation.
