    Kings Sign Forward Raitis Ivanans to One-Year Contract

    LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings have signed unrestricted free agent forward Raitis Ivanans to a one-year contact, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.  Per club policy, terms of the agreement were not announced.

    Northbound I-5 Lane Closures for Pavement Repair, 7/16 – 7/20

    Caltrans will close the following lanes of the northbound Golden State Freeway (I-5) as follows in order to perform pavement repairs.
    ·     10 p.m. to 6 a.m. – Up to three lanes of northbound I-5 from Valencia Boulevard to State Route 126
    Closures are weather permitting and subject to change.  Signs and detours will be posted to assist motorists. 

    Eighteen Of Runner's Bills Passed The Assembly Policy Committees

    Measures include changing the kindergarten start date, community college legislation and key health bills.
    (SACRAMENTO) --- As the 2005-06 legislative session is coming to a close in the next month, Senator George Runner (R-Antelope Valley) had 18 measures pass the Assembly policy committees.

    Red Flag Weather Warning Issued by National Weather Service

    The Los Angeles County Fire Department has received notification from the  National Weather Service that predicted weather conditions constitute a "Red Flag Warning". High temperatures and very low humidity can be expected for the mountains and valleys of Los Angeles County effective immediately through Saturday morning. The predicted weather combined with the extremely dry fuel, amount to a high fire danger in Los Angeles County. Consequently, citizens in brush areas should take appropriate precautions. These precautions include, but are not limited to, the following:
