    Kings Acquire Goaltender Dan Cloutier from Vancouver

    L.A. sends draft choices to Canucks in exchange for veteran netminder
    LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings have acquired goaltender Dan Cloutier from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a second-round selection in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft and a conditional selection in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, it was announced today by Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi.

    Dodgers Beat Diamondbacks 5-4

    Andre Ethier continued to impress fans with a homerun as the Dodgers managed to slip by the Diamondbacks 5-4. The game broke open in the Dodgers' favor as they scored five times in the third inning, but managed to barely get the win as the D-Backs rallied in the bottom of the ninth inning. Takashi Saito got his sixth save of the year for the Dodgers as they sweeped the D-Backs at home in three games. The arch-rival Giants come into town Thursay for a four game homestand, taking place right before the all-star break. Catch all the action at 6:30 on KHTS.

    Lane Closures for I-5 Carpool Lane Construction 7/5 – 7/6

    Caltrans will close the following lanes of the Golden State Freeway (I-5), as part of a $41.6-million project to construct High Occupancy Vehicle, (HOV), or carpool lanes, on northbound and southbound I-5 from State Route 118 to State Route 14:
    ·     5 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Up to two lanes of northbound I-5 from State Route 210 to State       Route 14
    ·     8 a.m. to 2 p.m. – One lane of northbound I-5 from I-405 to eastbound State Route 210 on-ramp

    LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with unrestricted free agent defenseman Rob Blake, it was announced today by Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi.

    Dodgers Slam Diamondbacks 11-3


    Star slugger Nomar Garciaparra extended his hitting streak to 16 games as the Dodgers pounded the Diamondbacks 11-3. The D-Backs had a two run lead in the first two innings but Andre Ethier contributed to the eventual blowout with an impressive four-run triple in the bottom of the 5th inning.     The Dodgers lost their final game against the Angels, 4-0. They next face the Diamondbacks on Monday.
