    Cowboy Festival in Top 5 of U.S. Festivals

    The Santa Clarita Valley’s Cowboy Festival was named by True West Magazine as one of the best cowboy festivals nationwide. The magazine, which provides hard-core western enthusiasts with the knowledge and information its readers need to enjoy their passion, awarded Santa Clarita’s cowboy festival for keeping the history, lifestyle, and Western authenticity alive.

    More Closures This Week On I-5

    Sylmar/North San Fernando Valley – The California Department of
    Transportation (Caltrans) will close the following lanes of the Golden
    State Freeway (I-5), as part of a $41.6-million project to construct High
    Occupancy Vehicle, (HOV), or carpool lanes, on northbound and southbound
    I-5 from State Route 118 to State Route 14:


    ·     5 a.m. to 2 p.m. – One lane of northbound I-5 from State Route 210 to
    State Route 14

    This prestigious award is designated for businesses that operate above and beyond similar sized companies, and there are awards for three categories: Small, Medium and Large businesses.

    E-Permiting On the Horizon for City

    The City of Santa Clarita has taken its first step towards providing residents and businesses with the ability to manage development permits through the internet.  This week, the City launched “ePermit,” a solution that allows residents to check the status of any permit and the results of an inspection.  It will also allow citizens to look up permit history on any address within the city or request an inspection online any day or time.

    Congratulations Canyon Cowboys: State Champions

    On Saturday night, the Canyon Cowboys defeated the De La Salle Spartans, 27-13, winning the CIF Division I State Championship. Congratulations to the Cowboys for all their accomplishments during this amazing season.

    Kings lose to Dallas

    The Los Angeles Kings lost to the Dallas Stars in overtime at the Staples Center. 4 -3 was the final. The Kings face the Calgary Flames on Tuesday. The pregame starts at 7 p.m. Hear the game LIVE on AM-1220 KHTS.
