    Santa Clarita Valley residents and investors Brad Spahr, Gary Cusumano, and Paul Sandrock, announce their purchase of Valencia-based Specialty Motors, Inc., a motor manufacturer and former division of Fisher Scientific International, Inc. (NYSE-FSH). 

    Dodgers Fall 11-2

    The Dodgers lost to the San Diego Padres on Saturday night, 11-2.  You can hear the final game of the series, Sunday at 12:30pm on KHTS.

    Lane Closure for I-5 Carpool Lane Construction 9/15 – 9-16

    Sylmar/North San Fernando Valley – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the following lanes of the Golden State Freeway (I-5), as part of a
    $41.6-million project to construct High Occupancy Vehicle, (HOV), or carpool lanes, on northbound and southbound I-5 from State Route 118 to State Route 14:
    ·     5 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Up to two lanes of northbound I-5 from State Route 210 to State
          Route 14

    McKeon Calls For Focus On Border Security

    Rep. Howard P. "Buck" McKeon (R-CA) called today for a renewed emphasis on border security as he praised House passage of HR 6061, the Secure Fence Act of 2006.

    "Nobody is saying that a border fence is the be-all end-all solution to our problems, but it is an important part of the first step toward getting a handle on our national security and immigration problems. A secure border has to be priority one," said McKeon.

    League of California Cities Endorse Prop 83 – Jessica’s Law

    SACRAMENTO - The League of California Cities has voted unanimously to endorse Proposition 83-Jessica's Law - which will toughen penalties on sex offenders and is a comprehensive approach to increase child safety in California.
    "Clearly, every community in California understands the importance of Jessica's Law.  Rural, suburban, urban communities all understand how Jessica's Law will help keep their children safer," said Senator George Runner (R-Antelope Valley) and honorary co-chair of Prop 83-Jessica's Law.
