    Round Up Hazardous Waste

    Residents to Dispose of Household Hazardous Waste, Saturday, April 14, 2007.

    The City of Santa Clarita, in conjunction with Los Angeles County, will offer residents the opportunity to safely dispose of household hazardous waste and e-waste, free of charge, during a county-wide Hazardous Waste Roundup on Saturday, April 14, 2007, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 


    The free Roundup will be held at the College of the Canyons in the south parking lot, located at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road.

    Easter Comes Alive At Vasquez

    2 services re-enact Christ’s journey.

    This Sunday, Christians celebrate Easter. Pastor Mike Sheridan of the Family Community Church spoke with KHTS regarding the very special Easter service that his church, along with three others, are putting on at Vasquez Rocks.


    A full theatrical presentation will follow the trial, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.   


    The event is done with authentic costumes, and is full of music and sound which adds to the drama.

    The Dodgers beat the rival San Francisco Giants for the second straight day 4-1.The Dodgers will wrap up their series against the Giants tomorrow.  Coverage will start at 12:30 on the Hometown Station, AM 1220, KHTS.

    West Ranch's Bossert Issues Apology

    “Poorly worded statements” about Canyon Country caused strife.

    On, Dave Bossert wrote a blog about crime in Canyon Country. He had been looking at the crime re-caps that the Sheriff’s Department puts out every day, and said that “without question there is a disproportionate amount of criminal activity in Canyon Country.”


    Dodgers Win 2-1

    On Friday night the Dodgers defeated the San Francisco Giants, 2-1.  The next Dodger game can be heard live on KHTS, Saturday at 12:15pm, when they will take on the Giants once again.

    "Volenteen" Round Up

    Local Students Asked to Volunteer For City’s Cowboy Festival.

    The City of Santa Clarita is inviting local youth to volunteer to help out at the City’s upcoming Cowboy Festival.  Students, aged 11 to 14, who need to fulfill community service hours or who are simply interested in volunteering, can sign up to work at the Cowboy Festival’s Gold Rush Food Court, on April 28 or 29. There are also many volunteer opportunities for teens ages 15 and over at the Cowboy Festival.
