    Arts Commission Grant Applications

    The Los Angeles County Arts Commission's Organizational Grant Program (OGP) is now welcoming applications for its 2006-07 grant program, announced Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich. 
     
    The Organizational Grant Program provides grants to approximately 200 regional nonprofit arts organizations to create visual and performing arts projects, strengthen infrastructure, and provide access to the arts for children and adults.  Complete guidelines, instructions, application forms, and lists of past grantees are available at

    Dodgers Lose to Diamondbacks 7-4

    The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-4 in 12 innings.  Alex
    Cintron hit a 3-run homer in the bottom of the 12th to win the game.  The next Dodger
    game on KHTS AM-1220 will be the Dodgers facing the Pirates in the 3rd game  of a
    4 game series at 12:30pm on Sunday. 
     
     
     
    On Friday, KHTS will air the Hart High versus Westlake High football game at 7:15pm.
    On Saturday, tune in to the Moorpark College versus College of the Canyons football

    4.7 Earthquake Felt In Santa Clarita

    A small earthquake centered south of Bakersfield registered a preliminary magnitude of 4.7 on the Richter Scale, and was felt throughout Santa Clarita.

    The quake's epicenter is closest to a town called Mettler, which is about 20 miles south of Bakersfield. No reports of damage or injuries so far, but the quake was felt throughout the Santa Clarita area.

    KHTS will continue to provide updates on this quake with new information as we receive it.

    Dodgers Lose to Diamondbacks 3-2

    Dodgers Lose to Diamondbacks 4-1

    The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-1 in the first game of a
    three game series.  Jeff Kent hit his 28th homerun of the year for the only Dodger
    run.  Tune in to Santa Clarita's only radio station, KHTS AM-1220, on Wednesday at
    6:00 PM for game two.

    Hart Schools Raise Thousands For Hurricane Relief Effort

    Tens of thousands of dollars & box loads of supplies are being donated by students & parents of the Hart district for survivors of Hurricane Katrina...

    The outpouring of cash & supplies has been so swift that Pat Willett, spokeswoman for the William S. Hart Union High School District, has had trouble keeping up with the tallies.

    Lane Closures for I-5 Carpool Lane Construction – September 19-21

    The California Department of Transportation will close the following lanes, ramps and connectors of the Golden State Freeway (I-5) as part of a $41.6-million project to construct High Occupancy Vehicle, (HOV), or carpool lanes, on northbound and southbound I-5 from State Route 118 to State Route 14:
     
    MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 THROUGH WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21:
    ·     5 a.m. to 2 p.m. – One lane of northbound I-5 from State Route 210 to
    State Route 14
    ·     9 a.m. to 3 p.m. - One lane of southbound I-5 and the southbound

    Lawsuit Formally Filed Against the Hart School District

    A lawsuit has been formally filed against the William S. Hart School District, Superintendent, and Board Members, Tuesday morning.  One item was omitted from the lawsuit due to redundancy.
