    County Gets Bolster From Security Grant

    Homeland Security grant going to fight terrorism

    To increase the County’s ability to prevent and respond to terrorism, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a $5.4 million grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s 2006 Los Angeles/Long Beach Urban Area Security Grant, announced Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

    Fire Burns Two Condos

    ImageThe Fire Department has confirmed that a fire burned two Condo units at 26853 Claudette Road, near Rainbow Glen, in Canyon Country.


    Fire ripped through all three stories of the building, and LA County Firefighters responded “first alarm” to the fire.

    In Santa Clarita, a select group of seniors are a part of a creative writing class, which allows them to learn, and to write for fun. A few of them have shared their words in regards to D-Day, which happened 63 years ago today.

    Domestic Violence Center To Host Inaugural Golf Tournament

    Money will be raised for local women and families

    On Monday, July 30th the Domestic Violence Center of the Santa Clarita Valley will host their inaugural Golf Tournament at Robinson Ranch Golf Course.  Bob Kellar, City of Santa Clarita City Council Member, and Chris Fall, Immediate Past Chair of the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce, have been named honorary co-chairs of the event set to kick-off with a shotgun start at 10:00am.

    Big Stars Become Dodgers For A Day

    Television and film stars will be participating in the 49th annual Hollywood Stars Game.

    The game will be played Saturday, June 9 at 5:15 p.m. before the Dodgers take on the Toronto Blue Jays at 7:10 p.m.

    Fans are invited to watch from Dodger Stadium's outfield grass and warning track to watch their favorite Hollywood celebrities play. FSNPrime Ticket's Steve Lyons and Patrick O'Neal will coach both teams of stars.
