Santa Clarita based Williams Homes plans to make the second phase of their Valle Di Oro community in Canyon Country available this June. The opening comes at a time when the economy and real estate market are looking up locally.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Torch Run for the Special Olympics Ceremony is this week. They will run more than 1,500 miles and nearly 300 agencies will participate.

Food is the theme of this year’s summer reading program at the Santa Clarita Public Library. Registration begins next Monday and readers of all ages are encouraged to participate.
