Update On SR-138 Widening Project In Littlerock

The California Department of Transportation will work on SR-138 daily Monday, October 1, through Friday, October 5.  In Segment 5 (Littlerock), from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., between 77th Street East and 82nd Street East  and 85th  Street East to 87th Street East, the work will take place in the center of the road way.  In Segment 12 (Llano), from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., between 165th Street East and 190th Street East, the work will take place on the shoulder of the of the highway.

Local businesses will remain open throughout the duration of construction; however minor delays in traffic and access are anticipated.

Detours will be posted for motorist convenience.  The new median turn pockets, new sidewalks, the drainage system improvements and new traffic signal and signal upgrades will enhance safety and reduce congestion. Completion is estimated for spring 2013. Toro Enterprises Inc. of Oxnard, California is the contractor on this $11.6 million project.
