There was one residential burglary from the 22200 block of Barbacoa St. The suspect forced open the victim’s bedroom door and stole money from the room. Detectives are currently working on leads to this incident.
There were two thefts from unlocked vehicles over the past week. The first occurred on Thursday, 11/15/12, between 3:15 p.m. and 3:25 p.m., from the commercial parking lot at the corner of Bouquet Canyon Road and Haskell Canyon Road. The victim had her purse taken from the floorboard of the vehicle. Entry was made through an open window. The second theft occurred from the 22900 block of Oak Ridge Drive on Wednesday, 11/14/12, between 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. The victim had several personal items taken from the vehicle. Entry was made through an unlocked door. Help yourself from becoming a victim of this type of crime. Please take any items of value with you when leaving your vehicle unattended.
There were several arrests made over the past week. In one instance, deputies responded to a call where a male was found sleeping in the victim’s vehicle. Prior to deputies arriving on scene the suspect fled the location. Deputies later located the suspect and after further investigation arrested the suspect for burglary and felony vandalism.
