Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Department arrested Gilbert Yoon, 39, of Newhall at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
Yoon and the victim started arguing at the Shell gas station located at the intersection of Bouquet Canyon Road and Seco Canyon Road.
According to Lt. Mark Hershey of the Sheriff’s Department, the argument escalated from an apparent case of road rage.
Yoon pulled out a knife and threatened the victim, Hershey said, but after the victim backed off, Yoon got into his car and drove away. He was traced by officers and arrested without incident. Yoon is currently being held at $30,000 bail at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
