For the tenth consecutive year, Six Flags Magic Mountain will collect food for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank during the annual “Bag-A-Ticket” holiday food drive. On Wednesday, November 21, guests who bring a full bag of non-perishable food items will receive a freepark admission ticket, good for that day. All donated food will be given to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Through the public’s generous donations, this drive continues to be one of the largest single-day food collection efforts for the Food Bank.
The park will be open on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Food items will be collected between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Included on the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank’s “Most Wanted” List are:
- Canned Goods: beef stew, ravioli, cannelloni, spaghetti, tuna, peanut butter, yams, chicken, beef, fruits, vegetables, soups and baby food
- Packaged Items: hot cereal (grits, oatmeal, etc.), mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, powdered eggs, complete meals, pancake mixes, baby cereal and rice
- Drinks: coffee, juices in non-breakable containers, supplemental drinks, baby formula and dry milk
The need for food supplies is at a record high this year. More and more families are going hungry. By treating your own family to a day at Six Flags Magic Mountain, you will also be helping a family in need this holiday season.
Magic Mountain is home to more than fifteen thrill rides, including Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom, Superman: Escape from Krypton, X2, Tatsu, Goliath, Viper, and more. During the school year, Magic Mountain is open on the weekends only, but this holiday season, the park will be open daily from November 17 to 25 and December 15 to January 6, 2013 (except Christmas Day).
