Another Round Of Rain, Snow Friday Night

NWS – Rain will effect the Santa Clarita Valley Friday afternoon and Friday evening. It looks like this will be a fast-moving system, as the rain should end by early Saturday morning.

Snow levels are forecast to drop to 3,000 to 4,000 feet Friday night. There could be an inch or two of snow across the Interstate 5 corridor between Gorman and the Grapevine Friday night, which may affect travel over the Grapevine.

Rainfall totals expected for the Friday afternoon through early Saturday morning storm should generally range between 0.10 and 0.25 inches, except up to a half inch along the south-facing slopes of Ventura and Los Angeles counties.

Potential impacts with this next storm include snowfall and dense fog across mountain roadways Friday night into early Saturday morning, with wintry driving conditions especially above 3,500 feet.
