Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger plans to visit Mexico on a trade mission immediately following the November 7th election, and it has come to our attention that his office was approached by CEMEX to visit its corporate offices during this trip.

The show will feature nearly 1,000 roses. Rose entries will be received from 7 :00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Judging takes place between 10:00 a.m. and Noon. The show is open to the public from 12:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Bear project is part of the City's "Art in Public Places" initiative
On Tuesday, October 10th at 9:30 a.m., Golden Valley High School will unveil the second grizzly bear, as part of the City's California Bear project. Five GVHS art students were given a task of executing an artistic, professional opportunity. The students successfully produced the life size grizzly bear -- the GVHS mascot, as well as a symbolic icon for the City of Santa Clarita. The bear will be displayed in the lobby of the school's performing arts center.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s ‘Light The Night Walk’ will take place this Sunday, October 15th, at Bridgeport Park in Valencia. Everyone is welcome to walk and carry the light of hope to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer.
