    Travel Expo At Paseo Club

    Santa Clarita's All-Travel hosts this a "Travel Expo" at the Paseo Club on Saturday, July 15th from 3:00pm - 8:00pm. KHTS will broadcast from the event and share details on a special Santa Clarita - KHTS 2007 Cruise to Alaska.

    Blood Drive for SCV Youth

    Sean, a 12-1/2 year old young man, who lives here in the Santa Clarita Valley, needs your help. 
     
    Sean was diagnosed with leukemia in 2005 and was receiving chemotherapy treatments but relapsed in May 2006.  He is hoping to undergo a bone marrow transplant at City of Hope in the very near future.
     
    A Blood Drive Drive with Bone Marrow Testing is being held this Saturday, July 15, from 9am-Noon at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Canyon Country.  The bone marrow test is a simple mouth swab.
     

    Bus Service To Aquatic Center

    Community voices have been heard. The City of Santa Clarita will now offer direct bus service to the Santa Clarita Aquatics and Activity Center beginning Monday, July 10, just in time for summer.
    Route 5 and 6 will service the Aquatics and Activity Center located at 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway. In addition, transfers to and from other routes can be conveniently made at the Mc Bean transfer station. This service will be available seven days a week, operating every half hour beginning at 8 a.m.

    City Transit Service to Santa Monica Beach

    A day at the beach can be so relaxing, but sometimes just taking a trip there can be frustrating…until now.
     

     
     
    The City of Santa Clarita has partnered with Los Angeles County to bring this summer’s bus service -- Beach Bus…From the Canyons to the Sea and Back Again, from June 21 to September 1, 2006 on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and on Labor Day.
     

    Power Out to 456 Homes Since Saturday Night

    At approximately 6:35pm Saturday, electrical power went out in Canyon View Estates and the surrounding area of Canyon Country, including KHTS.  The outage was due to Canyon View Estates electricians that were working and caused a flashover in a transformer.
