    Santa Clarita Valley Rose Society Offering Tours Of Private Gardens

    The Santa Clarita Valley Rose Society is offering tours of two private rose gardens at the homes of members, Santa Clarita Valley Rose Society officials announced Wednesday.

    These private gardens will be open to the public on May 4 only, and Santa Clarita residents can bring friends and family for free admission and light refreshments, event officials said.

Circle of Hope’s purpose is to provide financial, emotional and educational support for breast cancer patients and their families. And while popular Santa Clarita Valley events like Vine 2 Wine and the run/walk are a big part of their success, the real story is the people behind these events, said Ray Tippet, executive director for Circle of Hope.

    The 2014 Home and Garden Show and Emergency Expo is set to bring information, fun and training to the Valencia Hyatt on Saturday and Sunday. The 2014 Home and Garden Show and Emergency Expo will offer dozens of displays, exhibits and teaching moments at the Valencia Hyatt in Santa Clarita on Saturday and Sunday. Los Angeles County Fire Department officials will be a big part of the learning, with several opportunities to meet Santa Clarita Valley firefighters, and plans for a donation from Mini of Valencia expected to bring a “Jaws of Life” exhibit. County firefighters Fire Stations 126 and 150, as well as a paramedics squad from Station 111 on Bouquet Canyon and Seco Canyon roads will be available for residents to meet and ask questions, said Stephanie English, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

    CPR Classes And Workshop At The KHTS 2014 Home And Garden Show

    The fifth annual KHTS Home and Garden Show, a free two-day event Saturday and Sunday at the Valencia Hyatt, is offering CPR classes taught by a certified and licensed CPR instructor throughout the weekend, event officials announced.
