Can Saugus stars repeat at State Championships?

Santa Clarita’s stake in championship golf was cut short as Saugus’s Nick Delio and Hart’s Johnny MacArthur were eliminated Thursday from the CIF Southern California Golf Championships.

MacArthur shot a 3-under 69 at the SCGA Course in Murietta, which put him in a playoff with six others for the final two spots.  A bogey on the first playoff hole, though, eliminated him.  Delio shot an even-par 72 to end his season and his high school career.  MacArthur will be back for one more year.
