New Traffic Pattern In Place As Magic Mountain Road Project Continues

Southbound on-ramp to be closed, Magic
Mountain Parkway to be re-directed.

Sponsored By:

Chiquita Canyon

Starting Tuesday January 13th, the city of Santa
Clarita is warning that new traffic patterns will be designated
along Magic Mountain Parkway
between Tourney and The Old Road.

Due to ongoing road improvements, the on-ramp to the
southbound I-5 at Magic
Mountain Parkway will be completely closed until
March 1st.

Also during that period, the south side of Magic
Mountain Parkway will be closed between The Old
Road and Tourney, although both north and southbound traffic will be directed to
the northern lanes to minimally disrupt the flow of traffic. Two lanes will be
dedicated in each direction on Magic Mountain Parkway.

ImageTo access the southbound I-5, motorists can use Tourney as a
detour to Valencia Blvd's on-ramps,
or they can take Magic Mountain Parkway
to the Old Rd., make a
right and enter the southbound I-5 at Rye Canyon Rd.

All businesses in the vicinity of the roadwork, including Six
Flags Magic Mountain,
will remain open.

As this phase of the project begins, some previously
established closures will be lifted. The southbound off-ramp and the northbound
on-ramp have been under construction since December, and they will re-open
January 13th.
