The City of Santa Clarita received a $350,000 grant from the California Natural Resources Agency this month as part of the Environmental Enhancement and Mitigation Grant Program (EEMP) for the Southern Boundary Wildlife Corridor Conservation project.
Enjoy SRE PTO's annual Wrangler Round Up for an afternoon of family fun. The community is invited to enjoy family activities, face painting, and several carnival food and games. Children are also invited to pan for gold and dare to stick on the Velcro Wall. There will also be a Chili Cook-Over and Cookie Bake-Off. Parents are invited to participate in the Silent Auction.
AMS Fulfillment in partnership with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station and local Youth Activities League Center is giving at risk youth a second chance through job training and employment. They gain valuable skills to help them enter the workforce.
Several years ago, Deputy Brian Rooney and businessman Ken Wiseman began to discuss how challenging it can be for at-risk children to prepare for the workforce as well as finding jobs once they become adults.
PTA has sponsored the Peachland Elementary School 2nd annual Bingo Night. This event allow families to come and play Bingo with and against other families and staff members. There is food, fun and family. The event will be at 5:30 on October 17 at Peachland Elementary School.
