    Homicide Investigation Shuts 210 Freeway, All Lanes Now Open

    All lanes are now open from I-5 to the Eastbound 210.

    Investigators shut down a Southern California freeway early Thursday to investigate the discovery of the body of a woman who either fell, jumped or was pushed from a car and died after being struck by another vehicle.

    All eastbound lanes of the Foothill (210) Freeway in Sylmar were shut for hours as detectives conducted a homicide investigation after the 1 a.m. crash, officials said.

    Participants Will Learn All About Wild Life in the Natural World

    This September, the Santa Clarita Public Library will host the 2nd Annual Science in September series Wild-life! Predators, Parasites and Partners for homeschooled students. 

    Students in grades 5-12 are invited to participate in the free programming, which begins on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 and continues for four weeks.  Classes will be held every Tuesday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Valencia Library, located at 23743 Valencia Boulevard.
