The City of Santa Clarita is expected to host an art reception celebrating the new exhibit “Honoring Then And Now: Contemporary Art Of Native America” at the Old Town Newhall Library Community Room on Tuesday, Nov. 5 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

”Girl Rising" is a film, directed by Academy Award nominee Richard Robbins, that follows the stories of nine extraordinary girls from different countries. The girls’ stories expose the challenges faced by countless young girls who are denied access to education. The film features voice talents by Selena Gomez, Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.
