College of the Canyons Receives $400,000 Grant to Launch New Allied Health Program
The California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office has awarded a two-year $400,000 grant to College of the Canyons that will help fund the college's Medical Lab Technician (MLT) program. The college was one of 17 colleges to receive an economic stimulus grant in the state.

4th Of July Traffic Patterns Will Change
Parade to prompt morning and afternoon detours, delays.
If you plan on traveling around Santa Clarita on the morning of July 4th, you may want to consider that the annual parade will have some streets closed.
Starting at 7:00 a.m., Main Street will close completely to traffic, along with Lyons Avenue from Main Street to Orchard Village Road, and Orchard Village Road to 16th Street.
