Ten Children Found In Two Castaic Drug Houses

khts_crimeTwo homes in Castaic were raided yesterday after months of surveillance by narcotics detectives who suspected both locations were involved in drug trafficking.

After serving search warrants at a home in the 27500 block of Violin Canyon Drive and another at a home in the 31400 block of Arrow Point, both in Castaic, detectives arrested three men and one woman.

 

Cleanroom Facility Unveiled At College Of The Canyons

cleanroomFortineProviding a state of the art facility to train students interested in pursuing careers in the sciences and learning more about nanoscience and nanotechnology, this week College of the Canyons administrators officially unveiled the college's new Emerging Technologies Instrumentation Laboratory and Cleanroom facility.

 

Three Major Recalls Underway

khts_recallsThree products; two food and one medicinal, are the subject of recalls, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets are recalling pumpkin cheesecake pies due to undeclared pecans, which could cause a reaction to those with nut allergies. Certain lots of Brooklyn's Best brand smoked Nova salmon are being recalled because of a possible listeria contamination, which can cause serious and possibly fatal infections in those with compromised immune systems. And Vicks is recalling specific lots of its Sinex nasal spray after finding the bacteria B. cepacia in a small amount of product made at its plant in Gross Gerau, Germany.

City Will Weigh New Commercial Development In Circle J

The Santa Clarita City Council will have some business to clear up at Tuesday's meeting, before the City enters the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Council will vote on a potential amendment to the City's General Plan, which would allow for a zoning change that will make a new development in Circle J Ranch possible.
