Art Exhibit To Explore Light
Local historic park to host artists' reception.

The Tesoro Adobe Historic Park will be the site of an artists' reception November 28. The LA County Parks & Recreation Department and the Santa Clarita Artists' Association invite the public to enjoy free finger food and beverages from 12 to 5 p.m., view original artwork, and get a free tour of the property.

The Canyon High football team is going to the CIF playoffs.
Canyon, West Ranch and Saugus each finished with identical 2-3 Foothill League records and tied for third place in the league standings.
Body Found Confirmed As That Of Missing Woman
Coroner's officials have confirmed that the body of the young woman found hanged on Monday afternoon near the junction of the I-5 and Highway 126 is that of Bridgett Andrea Kennemore, a Newhall teen who had been missing since October 26.

Alamo Sentenced To 175 Years In Federal Prison
Evangelist Tony Alamo will spend the rest of his natural life in federal custody, after being sentenced to 175 years in prison by a Texas judge.
Alamo was convicted July 10 of 10 counts of taking girls across state lines for sexual purposes. Some of his victims were as young as 8 years old and were "wives" of the convicted felon who has a compound in Saugus up Sierra Highway, as well as other locations, mostly in the South.
