KHTS’ Carl Goldman, Fred Arnold, Kathy Keysor-Smith and Councilman Bob Kellar were in Sacramento on June 12th and 13th for ‘Capitol Clear Speak 2006‘. This annual event gives broadcasters an opportunity to interview a number of our State's Elected Officials.
I, along with nearly forty other community leaders, had the opportunity on March 13-14, 2006 to visit our state capitol in Sacramento. The trip, sponsored by Assemblyman Dr. Keith Richman, KHTS AM 1220 Radio, and Valencia Acura was designed to allow this delegation to see our state government in action. Fortunately, we did just that; unfortunately, the entire group came away feeling that our state government is a family going through a crisis, and that the system is broken.
On March 13 and 14, approximately 40 representatives from throughout Santa Clarita took a 2 day bus trip to Sacramento. Sponsored by Assemblyman Keith Richman, Valencia Acura and KHTS, the trip provided an in-depth look for local residents to see what's working- and what isn't in our state government.
