Round 17 of the inaugural campaign will be made up of the five division card on the brand-new speedway west of Bakersfield.

The Labor Day weekend events will have another historic display courtesy of the Minter Field Air Museum.  Budweiser will raffle off prizes including a Kevin Harvick signed plaque and Kevin Harvick signed diecast collectible car.

Pro Late Models return to action after a two week absence with a remarkable points battle up front.  New Braunfels, Texas driver Kevin Thompson leads Bakersfield's Tim Smith by just two points in the standings.

The series has yet to see a repeat winner so far this year and third in points Dan Holtz would like to add his name to the win list with a scant 20 point advantage over July 13th winner Donny St. Ours in the points.  This Pro Late Model event is the prelude and tuneup to the "DC's RV Center 100" for the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour the following weekend.

David Mayhew has had a stranglehold on the NASCAR CITGO Lubricants Late Models, storming to 12 victories this year in his bid for the California championship.  Mayhew yet again went toe-to-toe with second in points Eric Richardson last weekend before breaking through for victories in both 35 lap contests.  A 50 lap race is scheduled for Saturday.

Four INEX Legends races this year have been won by Donny St. Ours but its 13 year-old sensation Buddy Shepherd of Bakersfield leading the points charge.  Shepherd has taken three wins this year with single wins for Johnathan St. Ours, Blaine Perkins, and Brent Scheidmantle.

Tyler Bannister padded his comfortable advantage in the INEX Bandoleros last weekend by claiming his eighth win in nine starts this year.  The rookie driver leads fellow rookie Colton Page and nationally ranked Ryan Vargas in the championship battle.

NASCAR Mini Stocks will race 30 laps on Saturday night with points leader Billy Lay in pursuit of his fifth win.  Lay leads two-time winner Racin' Vernon by 18 points with Dylan Baker using a lone win to rank third.

Saturday night's events are just $20 for Adults, $10 for Seniors 65+, Active Military, Children 6-15, and Children 5 and under are free!  A Family Pass for two adults and two seniors or children is $52 (Box office only).  Reserved stadium seats are $25.  Grandstand gates open at 4 p.m. with autographs at 6 p.m. and opening ceremonies at 7 p.m.
