The City of Santa Clarita is inviting local teens to interact with and talk to City policymakers and experts on Thursday, March 15, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex Activities Center, located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway.

“This is a great opportunity for teens in our community to connect with City officials on current issues facing the youth of the Santa Clarita Valley and to learn how to be a catalyst for positive social change. We want to encourage teens to get involved and make a difference,” commented Mayor Marsha McLean.

Guest panelists include: City Councilmember Frank Ferry, Assistant City Manager Ken Striplin, and L.A. County Sheriff’s Captain Anthony La Berge.

Topics to be addressed are activities for teens, public safety, and growth/development/environment.

Interested participants must complete and return a registration application by Wednesday, March 14, 2007. All applications must be submitted to the participant’s school counselor or Associated Student Body Director.
