Students at Highlands Elementary have been removed from the premises and taken to Bouquet Canyon Elementary School on Wellston Drive, where they can be picked up by their parents.
The wires near Highalands Elementary are not hot anymore, but there is still no power at the scool.
An explosion in an underground vault at 9:32 a.m. Thursday morning has caused power outages at multiple intersections and trapped students at Highlands Elementary School in Saugus.
