The Santa Clarita City Council will have some business to clear up at Tuesday's meeting, before the City enters the Thanksgiving holiday.
The Council will vote on a potential amendment to the City's General Plan, which would allow for a zoning change that will make a new development in Circle J Ranch possible.

The 35,818 square-foot project plans three buildings on the corner of Oak Ridge Dr. and Railroad Avenue (formerly San Fernando Rd.) One building would host a single restaurant, while another would offer mixed commercial uses and potentially another smaller restaurant. The third building aims to serve as a two-story medical office.
The plan was passed unanimously by the Planning Commission on October 20th.
The Council will also consider creating a special standards district for the Happy Valley neighborhood, located south of Lyons Avenue around Valley and Apple Streets. If passed, the District would allow stricter standards when discussing development in the area.
Also in Newhall, the intersection of Walnut and 13th streets could get a stop sign in all four directions.
The upcoming City Council meeting will be held at City Hall on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
