A group planned "Zombie Invasion SCV" for Santa Clarita, which called upon people to put on makeup, sport zombie-like fake blood and pale skin and roam the town.
According to the organizers' Facebook page, the event is meant to be a spectacle.
"How awesome would it be to roam the streets of Santa Clarita as a zombie- with fellow zombies? We want to get as many people as possible together, Monday, August 10th, dressed and acting like Zombies. We will attack the Valencia Town Center and other nearby shopping centers. Many other people have done this across the country, and it's basically the most fun ever."
Participants were asked to meet in the FastFrame/Whole Foods shopping center on Valencia Blvd. to form the ranks before taking off on a foot tour of the area.
The Facebook page warned potential zombies that a contract would need to be signed prior to the walk, in which participants agreed not to damage any property and to abide by instructions of law enforcement personal.
According to Lieutenant Tom Bryskie with the Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station, no major disturbances stemming from the event were reported.
The event started at 7:30 p.m. and lasted approximately an hour and a half.
The event was slightly marred when a participant ran against a red light at Valencia Boulevard and McBean Parkway and was hit by a car. The 17-year old victim was treated for minor injuries.
