Four baseball players from the West Ranch team and four from the Valencia team were selected as all stars in the Valley Invitational Baseball League.
Cody Howard, Ryan Keller, Jared Ortiz and Nico Rusconi will represent West Ranch, undefeated at 10-0 in the summer baseball league. Valencia’s Michael Bratt, Justin Hanks, Brian Mundell and Jake Roberge are also all stars.

Canyon has three players on the team: Harry Bennett, Thomas Kratky and Kyle Pressman. Golden Valley has one all star: Josh Smith.
There will be four all-star teams for the summer baseball league and two all-star games on July 11 at Birmingham High School. West Ranch beat Notre Dame, 16-9, on Monday for its 10th win of the summer season. Jared Ortiz drove in five runs and JC Cloney hit a three-run homer for West Ranch.
In other games on Monday, Golden Valley beat Harvard Westlake, 14-1. Scott Barlow threw a two-hitter for Golden Valley. Canyon beat Burroughs, 7-4, Hart lost to Granada Hills, 11-4, and Chaminade beat Valencia, 8-2.
Valencia bounced back on Tuesday with a 3-1 win over Thousand Oaks.
