According to USA Today, former Los Angeles Dodgers centerfielder Willie Davis has been found dead in his home.
The Dodger legend, who was 69 years old, had an illustrious career with the club, playing centerfield from 1960 through 1973. He was a career .280 hitter and was deadly on the base path, stealing 398 bases over 18 seasons.
His last game was in 1979 for the California Angels.
Davis was a native of the Los Angeles area, having gone to school at Roosevelt High in east Los Angeles.
