Just before 6:00 Saturday morning, a vehicle collided with a utility pole on Soledad Canyon Rd. near Commuter Way.
The man driving the vehicle died at the scene, and an investigation took place lasting over five hours. The two right lanes of westbound Soledad Canyon Road had to be closed in the vicinity, leaving only one lane open for through traffic. The lanes have since reopened.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending family notification.
