Hometown Recipes: Nana's Crazy-Good Chicken Wings
When I bring my Nana's chicken wings to a party, the crowd goes crazy. These wings are easy to make but take a while to cook.
They also taste better reheated the second and third day.

Nana's Crazy-Good Chicken Wings Recipe
5 pounds chicken wing pieces (frozen or fresh)
1 cup soy sauce
3/4 cup juice (I usually use pineapple but orange or nectar are good too)
1/2 teaspoon dried mustard
1 cup brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced

Bake the chicken wings in a pyrex or disposable pan with high sides in a 350 degree oven for 1/2 hour. In a medium sized pot, add all the other ingredients and heat until the brown sugar is melted and the sauce is boiling.
Take the sauce off the heat. Add the sauce to the wings and put back in the oven for 1 hour. After the hour, turn the wings over every 20 minutes until the sauce has thicken and the wings are very tender. They take between 2 1/2 and 3 hours to cook total.
You can enjoy them at this point, or let cool and put in the fridge.
You can reheat them in the oven until warm or even in the microwave for 20 second intervals until heated through.
