American Red Cross Hosts Community Blood Drive On May 21 At City Hall

The City of Santa Clarita and the American Red Cross are teaming up to host a Community Blood Drive on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. at City Hall to help save lives.  According to the American Red Cross, one blood donation can help save up to three lives.  There is always a need for blood in the community and the need is greater nationwide, in which case someone needs a unit of blood every two to three seconds, according to the Red Cross.

Residents interested in signing up to donate blood at the Community Blood Drive should visit http://www.redcrossblood.org/make-donation and sign up for a donation time slot.  Then on donation day, participants will come to the Century Room at City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard, where they will be greeted and evaluated to ensure they are eligible to donate.

All Community Blood Drive donors will receive a coupon for a buy one get one free sub at Quizno’s, two tickets to the Laugh Factory, two tickets to the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live, and a voucher for two tickets to an L.A. Galaxy soccer game.
