Holocaust Survivors Asked To Participate In State Project
Survivors sought to share stories.
Survivors of the Holocaust who live in the Santa Clarita Valley are being sought by Assemblyman Cameron Smyth's office to participate in a tribute headquartered in Sacramento.
“Each year the state holds a Holocaust remembrance week, which includes a variety of activities, including the logging of stories and memories from current survivors,” Smyth said. “On our end, we are charged with trying to connect survivors in our district with local high school students who do interviews with the survivors, which are then entered into a memory book or journal to be included with other stories in the state capitol."
If you are a survivor or know of one in the area who would be willing to take part in this project, call Assemblyman Cameron Smyth’s office at (661) 286-1565.
