Head's Up Bowl-A-Thon Rescheduled
Charity event had to be canceled 2 weeks ago during poweroutage.
The first attempt at the Jim Tindell bowl-a-thon didn’t go so well. Sure, people showed up, registered, and got ready to bowl, but just as the games were about to begin, a power outage sent Santa Clarita Lanes into darkness
After nearly an hour of waiting, the event, which benefits Heads up Therapy on Horseback, had to be canceled.
The date has now been rescheduled for March 29th 2008, at the Santa Clarita Lanes. Some team and individual slots have opened up, and if you are interested in bowling for a good cause, you can get more information at www.headsuptherapy.com.
Heads Up Therapy on Horseback has not been operational since the Buckweed Fire, which destroyed their facilities, slightly injured two horses, and severely injured the organization’s administrator Jim Tindell. Since the fire, the bowl-a-thon was renamed the Jim Tindell bowl-a-thon. The money raised at the bowl-a-thon will go to help Heads Up resume their services, which cater to disabled children.
A silent auction and raffle prizes will also be a part of the event.
