Hart School Board Changes Presidents

Sturgeon to lead high school board through full agenda in 2009.

William S. Hart District governing board member Steve
Sturgeon was selected to lead the group during 2009 at the board’s regular
meeting Wednesday night.

Fellow board members also changed jobs, with Dennis
King serving as clerk and Paul Strickland serving as assistant clerk. Board
members Patricia Hanrion and Gloria Mercado-Fortine will serve as members at
large.

Issues facing the board this year include continuing construction and
modification projects, the development of a high school in Castaic and a review
of the district’s current boundaries.
