VIA Fundraiser Makes Dollars And Sense
March 29 event to give guests hands-on learning experience while being entertained.
The Valley Industrial Association is holding a unique fundraiser to help high school juniors learn to manage their finances.
VIA In the Park, an evening of fun, food, education and entertainment, will be held at the Junior Achievement headquarters in Los Angeles from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 29.
Proceeds of the fundraiser will fund “Connecting To Success,” a one-day business conference where business volunteers discuss communicating values, ethics and working in teams.
VIA In the Park will be held in the Junior Achievement Finance Park, an interactive hands-on learning experience that offers young people a real life look at managing their finances. While this is an evening for adults, participants will learn some valuable lessons that can be shared with children, students, friends and colleagues.
“Connecting to Success,” currently in its sixth year, is a forum to give high school juniors in the William S. Hart High School District a chance to participate in valuable exercises and discussions with community business leaders focused on communication, ethics and team building.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available, as well as individual tickets to the event. For details on the event, contact event coordinator Julie Weith at (661) 254-5325 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
