Forest Department Opens Up Local Jobs

Job Fair Highlights Opportunities with U.S. Forest Service.

The Los Angeles River Ranger District of the Angeles National Forest will be holding a job fair this Saturday, March 15, to recruit for numerous positions in fire, recreation, wildlife biology, information technology, law enforcement, engineering and many other fields.

 

The job fair will be held at the Los Angeles River Ranger Station, located at 12371 Little Tujunga Canyon Rd (Osborne exit off the 210 FWY), San Fernando, 91342, and will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm. For more information, please call (818) 899-1900 (M-F / 8 am-4:30 pm).

 

A large number of job opportunities will be highlighted in firefighting and fire management. These include positions on hotshot, fire engine, smokejumping and helitack / rappel crews as well as positions in fire prevention, vegetation management, and emergency communications. In addition to paid seasonal and full-time positions, a variety of student programs exist, both paid and volunteer.
