Fatal Bus Crash Filing Still Pending

District Attorney asks for more time, details before filing charges.

ImageThe Los Angeles County District Attorney has asked for additional information from investigators on the Jan. 18 bus crash that claimed the life of a 25-year old Stevenson Ranch woman.

District Attorney spokesperson Sandi Gibbons, said that her office had reviewed the case and needed more information from investigators in the field before they would decide whether or not to file charges against 49-year old David Delape of Rosamond who was driving the Santa Clarita Transit bus involved in the accident.

Delape is an employee of Veolia Transportation, which contracts with the city of Santa Clarita to provide drivers.  Officials from Veolia deferred commenting on the case pending the District Attorney's filing.

Gibbons said that the decision would probably be made within the next week.
