According to Dr. Kate Hutton with Cal Tech, every earthquake should be considered a drill for future earthquakes. KHTS urges you to take a few moments and look over these Earthquake Safety Tips provided by the City of Santa Clarita.

The chances of this quake being a precursor to a larger earthquake stand at about 5%. Most likely if a major quake was to come after this, it would be located along the same fault line. After two hours, the likelihood of this quake being a precursor drops, and by the 24 hour mark, the chances are down to 1%.

KHTS will report more information on this as it comes in, please check this story often for updates.
