Disaster Coalition Distributing Donated Items
Clothes, books and household items given to local fire victims.
The Santa Clarita Valley Disaster Coalition has been distributing clothing, books and other items that were donated by a variety of businesses and community members.
The items were arranged by size and type on tables where local victims of October’s wildfires could easily find what they needed.
22 homes were lost in Santa Clarita during the Buckweed and Ranch fires, and that left families with virtually nothing.
Warner Brothers Consumer Products donated several boxes full of clothing and shoes for the victims, and Lancaster school children organized a drive to purchase blankets, which were also made available to the victims.
