Youth Summit Help Students Learn about Self-Respect
Santa Clarita Mayor Cameron Smyth will speak about the Healthy Santa Clarita program, which strives to educate residents about the benefits of leading an active lifestyle. Mayor Smyth will also be on hand to introduce this year’s keynote speaker, Jeff Yalden. Yalden will be speaking on “The Essence of Self-Respect.”
“We look forward to providing our youth with an opportunity to come together, meet new people, and discuss issues prevalent to today’s middle school students,” says Supervisor for Youth and Family Programs, Ingrid Hardy.
Registration for the summit must be completed in person by April 28, 2005 and costs $5.00. Fees cover workshops, dinner, entertainment, giveaways, and admission to the Impulse Dance at the end of the summit.
