Vital Express Turns Sales Dollars into Donations
Local shipping company Vital Express is partnering with the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation to raise funds for a new Emergency Department and Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital.
The local program, called Vital “Ship Local” Campaign, will donate 5% of gross revenues from participating Vital Express clients directly to the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation for the Hospital’s expansion plans.
“This community is much more than a place of business for us,” explains Dan Boaz, President of Vital Express, the company he started with his wife Lisa in 1997. “This is also our home, so the expansion of our local Emergency Department is something that’s extremely important to us.”
The program was created by the Vital Express marketing manager, Mike Rapier, after he learned about the Foundation’s capital campaign. “My job takes me out into the field where I can spend a lot of time with people from other local companies like our own who also have a vested interest in the health of the Santa Clarita Valley,” explains Mike.
“With this program we have the privilege of meeting more than our client’s shipping needs – we will also positively impact their families and employees who depend on emergency and cardiac services.”
Vital Express contributions from November and December have been made in the name of Shield Healthcare, Creative Graphic Services, Firetect, Mellady Direct Marketing, Softub, Inc., American Telebrokers, and P.D.I.
Vital Express has set an aggressive fundraising goal for the “Vital Campaign,” and will recognize clients who participate. Clients will receive regular updates from Vital Express on donations made to the hospital as well as the progress of the Emergency Room and Cardiac Cath Lab expansion.
