William S. Hart High School District's middle college high school has been named one of America's Best High Schools by U.S. News & World Report, placing it in the top 10 percent of high schools across the nation.
McKeon Backs Call To Drop Earmarks
Rep. Howard P. "Buck" McKeon has issued a statement in support of an earmark moratorium recently adopted by the House Republican Conference:
"Over the years there has been a growing need for major reform of the earmark process in Washington, D.C., but this year in particular, after watching House Democrats spend flagrantly - driving the country into trillions of dollars of debt, it became undeniable that House Republicans would need to take a hard stand for change. Today, I strongly supported a vote by the House Republican Conference to ban all earmarks for the 111th Congress. This is an important step for reining in out-of-control government spending and changing the culture of Washington. By adopting a unilateral ban on all earmarks, we are sending a clear message to the American taxpayers that we have heeded their call."

Antonovich Offers A Way To Skip The Traffic At Dodger Stadium
Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich has secured a $300,000 grant to run a no-cost Express Bus connecting Dodger Stadium to Union Station for the 2010 baseball season.
