Update On Ewart Family Recovery

It has been almost eleven months since the tragic fire broke out at the Ewart family in Santa Clarita on December 20, 2005. Six family members were in the house at the time, three were seriously injured and sent to the Grossman Burn Center. David and his son, Michael Ewart were in the most serious condition. Many articles have been written about the Ewarts, some can be found on the www.hometownstation.com website by simply searching the keyword: Ewart.

Here is the latest update, courtesy of the Ewart's neighbors, Josy and Steve Block.

We just wanted to share some newsworthy events - The December issue of "Reader's Digest" features a story about the Ewarts in a section titled, "Real Life Miracles".  The inspiring article was written by Dave Berg, a close, personal friend of the Ewart family.  You'll find the article on pages 85-86, including a picture of David playing his violin.

Also, for those of you living in the Santa Clarita Valley, the December issue of "Inside SCV" highlights an article entitled, "From the Ashes:  Hart High Student Reclaims Life After Christmas House Fire".   This article, written by Patti Rasmussen,  centers on Michael's amazing recovery and has some beautiful photographs of Michael, Jonathan, Heather and Jacqui.

We have enjoyed recent newspaper articles in The Daily News and The Signal highlighting Michael's new Foundation, MESAFe (Michael Ewart Smoke Alarm Foundation).

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you all for your continued support and prayers for the Ewart family.  As we approach the holiday season, we want to wish everyone a happy and safe celebration with your family & friends near & far!

Warmest Regards,

Josy and Steve Block
