Two Local Women Get Down To Business

Popular business journal lists them as women at the top of their fields

The San Fernando Business Journal has named Santa Clarita figures Brigette Loden and Tamara Gurney as two women who “mean business.”

Brigette Loden received the “Women Who Mean Business Not-for-Profit Leadership” award, for her work as the Vice President of Development for the Providence Holy Cross Foundation. Loden, who has been a Santa Clarita resident for many years said that the award was a surprise, and that she was truly honored.

“I think this honor is wonderful for a few reasons,” said Loden. “By the SFV Business Journal having a Not-for-Profit award with other business awards, it elevates Philanthropy itself and the need for giving back. And a fellow Providence Holy Cross Board member also made the list of business nominees. Tamara Gurney, the CEO of Mission Valley Bank was considered as well.
