Truck Loses Control, Hits Propane Fueling Station

Last night a truck lost control while exiting the Northbound 5 freeway at

Lyons Avenue

. According to Lt. Dunkle of the Sheriff’s Department, the truck went off the off ramp, through a Burger King parking lot, and hit a propane refueling tank at a gas station.

The tank was ruptured, and so Sheriff’s Deputies secured the area by shutting down both directions of

Lyons Avenue

between

Wiley Canyon Road

and the Freeway. Once the gas fully discharged from the tank, the road was re-opened.  

There was no fire, and no reported injuries.
